1) When did you start writing?
When I was in year 5, so about 9/10. I never want to let that story see the light of day again XD I seriously started writing when I was 13 and I've been slowly improving since then (I hope)

2) First drafts: Handwritten, typed, or some combination?
Some bizarre combination of the two that always ends up typed~

3) Do you keep any kind of notebook or writer's journal, and if so, what kinds of things go into it?
I have four notebooks, I think. One of which has all my ideas for NaNoWriMo in it, another of which has my ideas for my serious story and two others which have ideas for another story I'm stuck on in them.

4) Do you set any quotas for your work (number of words per day, number of hours per day, etc.)? Why or why not?
For this month, I'm trying to get 2000 a day, and I'll hopefull continue with that after November's over ^^

5) Are you most comfortable writing short stories, novels, or something else?
Whatever. Usually a mix of novels and short stories with the odd poem thrown in.

6) What's your favourite kind of story to write? Why?
Fantasy all the way. Because it's epic ^^ And you can make up your own rules with fantasy and not have to worry about keeping things realistic.

7) Talk about a story of yours that was easy to write and one that was difficult to write, and why.
The easiest one is a short I'm writing at the moment called A Curious Variety of Whiskey (the title makes sense really - the main characters are called Jak and Daniel --> Jack Daniels ^^). The most difficult would be my current serious project because it's not got enough characters or plot to sustain it in the long run.

8) Which of your characters is closest to your sense of self? In other words, who do you most identify with in your own work to date?
Probably Caitali - she's grumpy and bitter just like me. Also Joshua, who's not strictly a character, but will be making appearances in every story I can fit him into - it's a little challenge I've set myself.

9) What work are you most proud of right now?
Fantasies I think. It's going well ^^.

10) What do you feel your strengths and weaknesses are as a writer?
My strengths are descriptions, I think. Weaknesses, everything that isn't descriptions, especially dialogue.

11) Name a few writers who have influenced you or your work in some way.
David Gemmell mainly because his books are the ones I always go back to when I need something to inspire me.

12) Talk about something you've written that you later found embarrassing for some reason.
Anything written before this summer. Especially the story I was writing in yr5 that was essentially a Harry Potter rip-off. And had a MC called Berry in it. Need I say more?

13) Talk about the earliest stories you remember writing. What were they about?
They were all about witches and wizards and epic things like that, later verging into elves and dragons and Mighty Magical Monsters(tm) ^^

14) If you knew you would be successful, what would you most like to write?
High fantasy or gay erotica . Just so my mama could feel proud of me

15) What inspires you?
Films, documentaries, conversations with my friends, my muse... in the case of my serious story, seeing a pair of dragonflies having sex XD.

16) How many projects do you tend to work on at once?
The most has been three.

17) Who reads your work before it's released to the public? Do you have beta readers, a critique group, etc.?
Just and usually~

18) When you're not writing, what do you do for fun?
read, draw, read some more, play ps2, watch films, read

19) Advice to other writers?
If you have an idea, write it down or you will forget it and get -really- annoyed later.

20) What are you currently working on?
Fantasies, A Curious Variety of Whiskey, a series of autobiographies of my vampires and then I have two other novels on the back burner ^^.

21) Share the first three sentences of a work in progress.
My first memory of my father is of him crying. It was the night my mother died, when I was four. That was also when he turned from “ Papa” into “Father”.
